Questions
How far ahead can you book a New York state park campsite?
Up to 9 months before your arrival date, one day at a time. From March 15 through Labor Day new dates open at 8 a.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. on weekends; the rest of the year at 9 a.m. every day. DEC campgrounds in the Adirondacks and Catskills also book 9 months ahead but don't publish a time.
When can I book Watkins Glen camping for 2027?
Each night opens 9 months ahead on ReserveAmerica. The 2027 season opens May 14, 2027, so that night opened August 14, 2026. A Saturday, August 7, 2027 arrival opens Saturday, November 7, 2026, at 9 a.m. Eastern.
How far ahead can you book Assateague?
It depends which campground. Assateague State Park (Maryland) opens 365 days ahead at 9 a.m. The National Park Service campgrounds on the same island open 6 months ahead on Recreation.gov.
When do Cape Henlopen reservations open?
On the same date one year before arrival, when Delaware's reservation call center opens: 8 a.m. every day from April 30 to September 30, 10 a.m. on weekdays from October through March.
